The Moveable Core Guidewires are constructed from the following basic elements: a coil, a core wire, a lubricious coating and a tube. The guidewires are made of stainless steel, with a Teflon (PTFE) coating, and a fixed core or a double distal core. The distal, J curved tip of the guidewire features the ability to be finger staightened from any point of the wire shaft. The ends of the guidewire are secured and polished for strenght and smoothness. These wires have core wires that are tapered at both ends to create a flexible end on both ends of the guidewire.
