      PureWick™ System

Designed with you and your patients in mind

PureWick™ External Catheters were designed to provide a non-invasive option for urine output management. PureWick™ utilizes wall suction to draw voided urine from the catheter into a sealed collection canister, helping to keep skin dry. The PureWick™ Urine Collection System can provide suction capabilities in the absence of wall suction.

The Purewick™ External Catheter may be right for patients who:

      • Patient requiring urine output monitoring but does not meet indications for indwelling Foley catheterization
      • Urinary incontinence and/or frequent urination
      • Skin irritation related to urinary incontinence or absorbent briefs
      • Post-surgical or procedure immobility

              BD PureWick™ Male External Catheter

Male condom catheters are a Foley alternative for your patients with sufficient anatomy. However, approximately 30%* of men have incompatible anatomy for condom catheters, leaving nurses without good alternatives for these patients.1 The PureWick™ Male External Catheter can provide you with a non-invasive option for urine management in your male patients who are currently incompatible with condom catheters. Integrating this into your bladder management options gives you a full portfolio of products to protect your patient’s skin and reduce indwelling catheter days.4,5,6
