Disaster Relief
In times of disaster, BD always implements one of its core values: “We do what is right,” encouraging associates to give to non-profit partners working in a disaster zone and contributing corporate dollars and product to aid victims.
Fiscal Year 2007
- $25,000 to United Way of Bergen County to assist flood victims of April nor’easter in New Jersey’s Bergen and Passaic counties.
- $21,000 to Heart to Heart International to assist victims of tornadoes in Kansas City, KS and surrounding areas.
Fiscal Year 2006
- $100,000 to the Committee to Encourage Corporate Philanthropy for the South Asia Earthquake Relief Fund
- $50,000 to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF for Pakistan earthquake relief
- $50,000 to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF for Indonesia earthquake relief
