Supporting Our Global Community

Grants Support Global Communities

BD contributed more than $6.1 million in 2011 to a variety of organizations in its focus areas: HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, diabetes, immunization, infectious diseases and other health, education and disaster relief needs.

In addition, BD and our locations around the world contribute to a multitude of organizations based on the needs of each community. This assistance ranges from support for local universities and food banks to assistance through the American Red Cross, United Way, American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

In fiscal year 2011, the BD Matching Gift Program donated more than $,080,000 to eligible nonprofit organizations and educational institutions. By matching both monetary donations and volunteer contributions of individuals, the Company recognizes the valuable role BD associates play in their communities.
