(July 22, 2009) -- BD Internship Program (Taiwan)

The initiative of conducting BD Internship program was raised by one of our KOL Dr. Wu, Vice Dean of National Cheng Kung University in 2004 with the objective of providing Medical Technology students learning opportunities outside the university and gain experience in Medical industry.

BD-Taiwan's Internship program started in 2005 until 2007 cooperating exclusively with Institute of Medical Technology, NCKU. The company solicited Intern requirements from department/function managers and projects were identified for interns by 2nd quarter. Project leaders were assigned to lead the interns in the 6 week internship program.

In 2008, we expanded this program to 3 institutes including NCKU, NTU, CMU.This year we have 4 interns from 4 institutes joining the program who will handle projects from 4 business segments respectively.

The Internship program aligns with one of BD's vision "Contributing to the Society" as we provide opportunity for career-oriented students a head start in exploring a professional career in the Medical industry; give them valuable and on-the-job experience in a business environment.
