For the third consecutive year, BD has been selected as a component of the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World). The indexes provide solid benchmarks for sustainability-driven equity portfolios.

BD’s selection for the DJSI World resulted from an analysis of corporate sustainability leadership across the world. This thorough assessment examined corporate economic, environmental, and social performance, with a strong focus on long-term shareholder value. The results influence the investment decisions of asset managers who have licensed the DJSI family. Total assets under management in DJSI-based investment vehicles currently stand at close to $6 billion.

The Company’s inclusion in the DJSI World puts it in the top 10% of the companies assessed in the Healthcare sector in terms of sustainability leadership. This year 2,500 companies were invited into the DJSI World assessment, with 320 companies selected for inclusion in the DJSI World Index.

BD remains on the 125-company DJSI North America Index for the fourth consecutive year. The DJSI North America is a subset of the DJSI World.
